Wonderful and Healthy Green Tea Time Grab Our RSS!

Green tea has been around for thousands and thousands of years. The properties of green tea are just now being discovered and tested. What scientists and researchers are finding is that the properties of green tea are amazingly healing and that is a wonderful discovery for many people all around the world. Although the Asians have known about this for a very long time, we are just now finding out about the healing properties of green tea. Well, it’s better late than never is what I say!

The healthful properties of green tea are largely attributed to polyphenols, chemicals with potent antioxidant properties. In fact, the antioxidant effects of polyphenols appear to be greater than vitamin C.

The polyphenols in green tea also give it a somewhat bitter flavor.

Olyphenols contained in teas are classified as catechins. Green tea contains six primary catechin compounds: catechin, gallaogatechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate, and apigallocatechin gallate (also known as EGCG). EGCG is the most studied polyphenol component in green tea and the most active.

Green tea also contains alkaloids including caffeine, theobromine, and theophylline. These alkaloids provide green tea’s stimulant effects. Of course, the properties of green tea also include a large amount of caffeine which is what everyone who might want to implement green tea into their diet must know.

The general properties of green tea make it a healing beverage in and of itself. But when you start looking at what makes up green tea ? as we have done above you can start to realize that green tea has healing properties that you never even realized. How? Because the terminology above is quite technical, isn’t it?

Well, basically, green tea is made of catechins which are powerful antioxidants that help fight disease. The disease doesn’t have to be anything huge and death-defying. It can be as simple as the flu or the common cold. When you feel symptoms of either of these conditions, just start drinking green tea, and research shows that just the simple consumption of green tea will help you fight off and even combat those minor diseases.

But the properties in green tea can also help fight against more serious diseases like cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, and liver damage. Basically, the properties of the green tea plant are naturally infused with healing ingredients that you just can’t deny. If you are worried about your health or are just hoping to have a healthier lifestyle, you may want to take green tea seriously as a part of your new diet and your new lifestyle!
